Karl Hartung modified #113 from Johnston City, IL is 37 years of age. He began racing in 1980 in a street stock. Mt. Vernon is his home track and you can also see him at Paducah and Flora. 

Karl’s modified is a Dirt Works chassis powered by a SCP 406 race engine. His greatest accomplishment was last to first and lapping two cars in the process. Karl’s greatest racing thrill was driving a team car with his sister. 

Karl’s racing hero is the late Dale Earnhardt. He races because he loves it!! Karl’s goals for the future are to be consistant and end a year with a top 5 points finish. He would like to thank his father in law Mike for the help and support.
