John Gurley

John is  34 years old and from Brazil In.  He drives Modifieds. Terra haute is his home track but you can catch him at Putnamville and Brownstown. 

John comes from a racing  family. His dad started racing in 1963 and retired in '93.  John started racing in a sprint car in 1986, at Warsaw In.  He got his first win at Kokomo In. in a sprint in 1987.

When ask abut his career highlights he said "Spectacular crashes"  then he laughed and said he started 18th at Eldora and finished 2nd.  

His highlight of 2001 was setting the altitude record at Lincoln Park Speedway.  

The thrill of racing for John is being with family and friends. His greatest thrill was racing against his dandy and his two brothers.

The goal is to compete for the UMP state title.

His favorite drivers is his Dad and his Brothers.
