Steve Godsey

Steve is 27 years old and races  late models out of Bedford In. His home track is Brownstown  Speedway. Steve also races at  Bloomington, Paragon, North Vernon, Bardstown and Eldora.

The car is a bent Chassis with a Travis Kern racing engine. 

Steve started racing a bomber at Bloomington speedway in 1992. His dad had raced for many years so Steve wanted to try it out. Steve got his first win in a street stock at Logootee Speedway in 1994. 

Steve began racing late models in 1997 and he won rookie of the year and finished 5th in the points at Brownstown.  The second night he ran a late model he ran second.   1999 brought his first late model career win. 

2000 brought a Track championship at Brownstown  speedway in the late model class.

The excitement and the competition are the thrills of racing, for  Steve. When he passed Jim Curry for his first win at Brownstown in 2000 was his greatest racing thrill.

Steve ranks winning the ranks his 2000 championship as his greatest racing accomplishment.

The goal is to get several top 5s and a top 5 point finish for 2002. Ray Godsey, Sam Probasco, and his wife Jeana help.

Ray Godsey is his favorite driver.
