Nicholas Gaines drives Sprint car #55.  He  lives in Mattoon, IL.  His home track is Charleston Speedway.  He also likes racing at Coles County Speedway.

In 2002 Nicholas is driving a white Chevy Sprint car with an Eagle chassis.

Nicholas started racing in 1992 in the Go-Karts class.  He had his first win that same year in the Rookie Karts class.

In 2001 Nicholas was the 600cc Mini-Sprint Indiana State Race winner setting a new track record and leading every lap of the Feature.  He also had the highest percentage of wins at Coles County Speedway in the 600cc A-Class.

During his career he has had several wins at various tracks.

Kurt's greatest racing thrill was driving a 600 HP Sprint car for the very first time.
