2002 SCHEDULE

At
long last, the official 2002 schedule for Shadyhill Speedway just
outside of Medaryville, IN has been released. But one glance at
this extravaganza filled release proves that it was well worth the wait!
The season will
kick off with a tune and test day scheduled for April 13th with the
racing starting one week later on the 20th and will continue
through Labor Day, September 2nd. Six class of race cars will
compete at Shadyhill Speedway this season headlined by the UMP Modifieds.
Some of the area's finest drivers compete often at Shadyhill
Speedway in this class. Being the premier class at Shadyhill, they
will once again headline the regular card as well as the 2nd annual 4th
of July Spectacular, the Firecracker 60 which will net the winner $2000
this year. These UMP Modifieds will also be racing for a $1000 to
win on August 3rd. The Super Streets look to be a very competitive
class with several new cars being built for this year. They will
close out the season with the 2nd Annual Blue Collar 40 on Labor Day
racing for a $1000 prize. The MMA Modifieds and Mini-Stocks will
have their day in the sun as well as they also will have a special event
(MMA July 13th & MS June 15th) where they will be chasing a
$1000 prize as well. Last years up and coming class, the Pure
Stocks will have their Bone Yard 30 on Memorial Day this year and they
will run for a $750 winners purse. The Management at Shadyhill has
also started a back to the basics no frills allowed mini stock class
known as the Bare Foot Mini's and they will get a shot at a $500 race
on August 17th.
In addition to
these great races there will be special nights to honor our Senior
Citizens, Scouts, and Little League Players. Racestar Publications
is also sponsoring there annual Bicycle and Big Wheel Races for the
youngsters at the Speedway. You want to meet your favorite driver?
Come on out on June 1st and August 24th for Autograph Night and do
just that.
The season is
just around the corner and we will look forward to seeing you at
Shadyhill Speedway early and often this year!!!
